How to ESCAPE a TESLA

Rats! You are in a Tesla and it has lost power and you can’t get out. Maybe the 12-volt battery died. Perhaps it has been in an accident and caught fire and you have seconds to act! But alas, without power, the door won’t open! Here is how to unlatch the door and ESCAPE the TESLA!

From the FRONT seat

Ah, you’re in luck. In the front it’s not as difficult.

  1. Find the emergency lever in front of the button cluster on the door (see right).
  2. Pull the lever to open the door.

From the BACK seat (TELL YOUR CHILDREN!)

Bad news: it’s going to be a little more tricky to get out. There may be NO EMERGENCY RELEASE on some cars. Honestly, you (or your children) might climb forward and try to exit the front doors if you can. But if you can’t do that, then escaping is different for every model.
